Manage your notices
Each notice type carries its own unsubscribe button at the foot. You also set notice preferences at /account/notifications to pick which alerts you receive and their frequency.
Some notices cannot be switched off: receipts, refunds, payment issues, listing suspensions and security alerts go out regardless.
Update your sign-in address
Go to /account/email and enter the new address with your password. We then email both the current and the new address; confirm by pressing the button in both emails. After both confirmations your sign-in email is changed, other browsers are signed out and we tell the old address. If you can no longer reach your current inbox, send a request from /help so we can check it is you.
Close your account
No request is needed to close your account: /account/privacy has 'Close your account', which you confirm with your sign-in email and password after seeing what will happen. Your listings are unpublished, your personal data is removed and you are signed out everywhere. This cannot be undone and paid listings are not refunded; your statutory rights are not affected.
Good to know: /account/privacy lets you save a complete copy of your information, ready in seconds.
Invoices stay on file for the period the law requires. See /privacy for how we handle personal data.
Questions people ask
- Can I turn off certain emails but keep others?
- Yes. Go to /account/notifications to choose which notice types you want and how regularly. Receipts, refunds, payment problems, listing holds and security alerts cannot be disabled.
- How do I switch the email address I use to sign in?
- At /account/email enter the new address and your password, then press the button in both emails we send, one to each address. The change is made when both are confirmed.
- What happens to my invoices if I close my account?
- Invoices are kept for as long as the law requires, even after your account is deleted. Everything else—your profile, personal details and founder listing—will be removed.
