How do I get my listing on the billboard?
The billboard ranks listings by founder contributions in US dollars. It is a separate paid leaderboard, not voted on by the community.
Updated
The billboard is a standalone leaderboard at /leaderboards/billboard. It orders all listings by the total money their founders have paid into it, and the page clearly marks it as a paid ranking.
Funding your place
You set the dollar amount yourself. The floor is $5. Each time you add money, it goes on top of what you have already funded. The board then re-sorts by total spend across all contributors. Once you have funded, your listing stays visible on the board.
How to contribute
From your account you can contribute once your listing is live. Go to /account/listings, find "Upgrades and extras" for the listing you want, and type your contribution under Billboard. You can also fund the billboard during the submit step when you first post.
Why it stands apart
The billboard has no effect on community votes, Launch of the Week, verification status or Domain Rating. Each of these is its own system with its own label. Promo codes do not apply to billboard funding. This means your listing's rank on one board has no bearing on any other.
Questions people ask
- Does the billboard affect how my listing ranks in votes?
- No. The billboard is a separate leaderboard. It does not move you on the community voted board, Launch of the Week or any other ranking.
- Can I add more money to my billboard contribution later?
- Yes. Each contribution you make adds to your total, and the board re-sorts by that new total.
- What if I use a promo code?
- Promo codes do not reduce the amount you contribute to the billboard. You pay the full dollar amount you enter.
