How it started
Natalie Lock and Neil Lock founded Zinn Hub together, and she is one of its two co-founders. The two met at school and have been together for more than thirty years. On his own site, Neil describes Natalie as his partner in business as well as in life, and as the person he talks the bigger decisions through with first.
Why it exists
From the start, the aim was a freelance marketplace that treats both sides fairly. On the selling side, freelancers keep more of their earnings and get room to build a real brand. And a buyer gets vetted sellers, real advice and a team behind the marketplace that responds.
What Zinn Hub became
The founders believe it is the first freelance marketplace where people who share no language can still find one another, agree a job, talk it through live and have it delivered. Listings, briefs, messages and reviews are translated in both directions, across 46 languages. It is a marketplace for digital services, with SEO, web design and content writing among them. Sellers are vetted and paid out instantly, and buyers can pay by card or crypto.
Milestones
In 2026 Zinn Hub received two awards: UK Freelance Marketplace of the Year 2026 from 365 Awards, and Best Multilingual Freelance Marketplace in the United Kingdom of 2026 from Best of Best Review.
