Free or paid: which launch option suits you?
Free listings queue for weeks with locked content. Paid launches go live immediately with full profile and search engine visibility.
Updated
You choose between free and paid.
Free listings: no cost, delayed publication
A free listing gives you a basic profile on the site. Founder story, milestones, screenshots, demo video and comparisons appear locked to visitors. Publication is queued about 6-8 weeks out.
Before we publish your free listing, our badge must be live on your website. As well as the badge, a free listing needs a complete founder profile. Your link to the site carries a nofollow tag. Search engines do not index thin free pages.
Paid launches: immediate, full visibility
A paid launch ($5) publishes this week or the week you select. No badge requirement. Your full profile unlocks immediately. The link to your website carries a dofollow tag and the page is open to indexing by search engines.
Add-ons let you go featured ($19), add extra categories or the multi-site bundle. To move a free listing out of the free queue, upgrade it to a full launch for $5: it becomes a paid launch in the week you pick. Paid launches choose their week free of charge.
Moving between options
You can upgrade from free to paid at any time from /account/listings. An upgraded listing goes live at once or in the week you choose.
Choose free if you are willing to wait and do not need search visibility. Choose paid if you want immediate publication, the full profile and a dofollow link.
Questions people ask
- When will my free listing publish?
- About 6-8 weeks after submission, depending on the queue. Paid launches publish in your chosen week, as soon as that week begins.
- What is locked on a free listing?
- Founder story, milestones, screenshots, demo video and comparisons. Visitors see only the basic profile.
- Does a free listing help with search engine rankings?
- No. Free pages carry a nofollow link, and a thin free page may be kept out of search results. Paid launches get a dofollow link and a page open to indexing by search engines.
